I am using Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access on my Google Chrome internet browser. When I try to open someone's email, there is a warning icon that states: 'The content cannot be displayed because the S/MIME control is not available'.

I recently updated my two machines to Windows 8.1 and got IE11. Both machines are 64-bit. I can not seem to find a way to explicitly use 32-bit IE11. I have checked in task manager both under processes and details. It always seems to be 64-bit. I honestly don't know what version I require to make the control work; however, when I check the add-ons I see the MIME control as only being 32-bit compatible.

Prior to the update, I simply switched over to the desktop, launched IE10 using the shortcut pinned to the bar and everything worked.

Now, when I hit up my company's OWA URL at first I am guessing exchange thinks I'm un an unsupported browser and it defaults to selected OWA Light. I uncheck that and log in and I can not read my encrypted e-mails. In addition, I don't see the option to enable/install the control in OWA.

This all worked flawlessly with IE10 on Windows8.

I have tried all combinations of enabling/disabling EPM both on the Security tab as well as the Advanced tab. Nothing works.

Any guesses on how to make IE11 work with Microsoft's Exchange Outlook Web Access?

I access my mail from home a lot, but ever since the update to the new Outlook Web App, I can't view S/MIME encrypted emails. Unlike before, there's no option to install the S/MIME control. The only way I can read those emails is by using Outlook at work.

Can anyone give me a workaround to viewing S/MIME emails at home, either via the web app, or walk me through how to set up Outlook 2013 on my home computer? I've looked through militarycac.com, and it was very helpful for setting up Internet Explorer, but not Outlook.
